What is CMS Bridge?

It is an Airtable Extension that enables you to send data either from Airtable to Webflow CMS, or vice versa.

What is a Connection?

It is a link between 1 Airtable View and 1 Webflow CMS Collection.

What is a Database Sync?

It is a synchronization between the Airtable database and Webflow CMS database, or vice versa. The state of a Database Sync is notified using colored banners: Yellow and Green or Red.

How to control which records get Synced?

CMS Bridge targets records whose Last Modified Time Field changed since the last Sync. So ensure that the Last Modified Time Field is triggered intentionally by customizing it’s trigger.

Credits

What is a Credit?

Credits are required to perform a Database Sync. You get 50 Credits per month on a Free plan. You can increase the limit by purchasing a subscription.

How are Credits consumed?

Every time you perform an action such as create, update, or delete on a record/item during a Database Sync, a Credit is consumed.

1 Credit is consumed per record/item during a Database Sync, if the Connection has 30 field linking.

2 Credits are consumed per record/item during a Database Sync, if the Connection has 31+ field linking.

The Mandatory Fields are not included in the Credit count.

How are Credits calculated for Reference Fields?

During a Database Sync, only the Name Field of the Referenced Field (Linked record Field) is created/updated/deleted. So it will consume 1 Credit per record/item, if the Connection has ≤30 field linking.

If you want to Sync the remaining fields of the Referenced CMS item (Linked record), then Sync that Connection, which will then consume an additional 1-2 Credit(s) per record/item.

Do unused Credits carry over to the next month?

Nope. The limit is reset monthly.

How to minimize the Credits usage?

  1. Use CMS Bridge to send data from Airtable to Webflow, as it’s intended.
  2. Use Airtable Views:
    • Keep an Airtable View that's dedicated to CMS Bridge called “⚡ Synced with website”, or anything you prefer.
    • Create a separate Single Select Field called “🤖 Sync Status” to use for your internal (approval) workflow with options: “Draft” and “Ready to Sync ⚡”. Of course, you can add as many options as you need.
    • In the “⚡ Synced with website” Airtable View, add a Filter to only show records with the status: Ready to Sync ⚡. Like this, you can be sure that only the records in this Airtable View will be synced with the website.
  3. Moreover, CMS Bridge only targets records whose Last Modified Time Field changed since the last Database Sync. So ensure that the Last Modified Time Field is triggered intentionally by customizing it’s trigger. You can link it to the “🤖 Sync Status”  Field for extra control.
